Presented by The Magnum Foundation

The Magnum Foundation’s panel discussion will highlight the experiences of photographers and activists working in communities affected by gun violence. Issues of access, process, and protection for photographers will be addressed. Organized in conjunction with MF’s installation at Photoville: Heaven’s Gain: Recent work by Justin Maxon.

This presentation will take place in the Photoville Talk Area – located at the storefront of One Brooklyn Bridge Park at 360 Furman St Brooklyn, NY 11201.

The Magnum Foundation champions in-depth, independent documentary photography that fosters empathy, engagement, and positive social change. We support, train, and mentor the next generation of photographers and seek to increase the exposure of both historical and contemporary documentary photography in the digital age. An independent public charity, the Magnum Foundation carries forward the core values of Magnum photographers and sustains the practice of high-quality, long-form documentary photography.
